So much can happen in a heartbeat, in a breath. I created this necklace after I witnessed the murder of several unarmed Black men. The red Coral is to remind you that we are valuable. The heartbeat is there to remind the world that we breathe, we bleed, and are often at the mercy of people whose heartbeat we can neither feel, nor know if it beats for us.
