In this Egyptian Revival project, centuries converge in a single thread.

Guided by the silhouettes and symbolism of ancient Nile civilizations, I document the creation of beaded adornments that echo the splendor of queens, gods, and sacred rituals. Each glass scarab and carved bone detail tells a story of protection, transformation, and reverence. As I recreate these heirloom-quality pieces, the video invites you to witness a modern homage to a civilization where jewelry was never mere decoration, but identity, status, and divine connection woven into form. This is not just craft; it is living history, meticulously reawakened bead by bead.

This peacock-inspired beadwork was created as a heartfelt tribute for my dear friend and photographer as a celebration of her vibrant spirit, creative eye, and radiant presence behind the lens. Every shimmering bead, from cobalt blue to silver-lined detail, mirrors the regal beauty of peacock plumes and the artistry she brings to every frame. A gift of gratitude, crafted with intention and deep appreciation.

In the heart of West Africa’s enduring traditions, the regal artistry of the Edo people comes to life through ceremonial coral beadwork. This handwoven creation draws from centuries of royal symbolism, echoing the splendor of Benin brides adorned for sacred rites of passage. Each bead, selected for its weight, luster, and shade, becomes part of a larger visual language that speaks of ancestry, dignity, and identity. Crafted over thirty hours, this piece is more than bridal adornment. It is a living archive of cultural memory, where every strand carries the rhythm of tradition and the promise of legacy.

Beneath the waning light of day, when the sun drapes the earth in its richest hues, the Golden Hour necklace was born. Inspired by Flora and Lane’s “Autumn” dress, this piece is a meditation on transition from warmth to cool, from blossom to decay, from light to shadow.

Rust and amber tones echo the crisp fall leaves, while subtle greens recall the last breath of summer clinging to the trees. Each bead, handwoven over 35 hours, was selected for its ability to reflect light like the quiet shimmer of dusk. With Czech, Toho, and Miyuki beads in both matte and glossy finishes, this necklace captures the quiet drama of nature’s shift, suspending a fleeting moment of beauty in a permanent form.

Beneath a canopy of imagined constellations, the Sea Blue necklace emerges as an homage to celestial wonder and oceanic depth. Inspired by Flora and Lane’s Night Sky gown, this handwoven piece channels the quiet majesty of midnight waters and starlit skies. Over forty-two hours, beads in shifting hues of deep blue and sea green were selected for their subtle variation each a glint of moonlight or shadow on the tide. The intricate neckline, densely woven, anchors the weightless drape of the cape. With detailing at both front and back, Sea Blue captures the rhythm of the night and the mystery of what lies just below the surface where dreams gather like stars over still water.

In the spirit of nature’s quiet poetry, Fern emerges as an intricate beadwork necklace inspired by Flora and Lane’s “Sage” gown and the mystique of ancient woodlands. Each handwoven strand echoes the delicate green tulle of the dress, while hues of chartreuse and forest shimmer like morning light on dew-covered leaves. This piece is more than adornment it is a study in botanical reverence, where seed beads become foliage and craftsmanship becomes communion. Fern invites the wearer to step into a mythic grove, where time slows and beauty is found in every detail.
